Venus' Box of Doom!

This is a story originally published in Atlas Comics' Venus #19, but reprinted and scanned from the reprint comic, Weird Wonder Tales #16, from 1976.

I was going to post a couple more of these classic Bill Everett Venus stories, but Hairy Green Eyeball beat me to them! Check them out here.

Great little story, Everett's awesome eye and pen keeps it all moving so swift and exciting you forget you're reading a typical-ish type Atlas vampire tale. I've said it before and I'll say it again though, Marvel really needs to put out a Venus Masterwork.

Wonderfully solid draughtmanship in this one. Bill Everett was surely firing on all pistons. Some shots of the girl look like they popped out of an issue of "Love and Rockets".

That is freakin' intense.

I'm with Karswell. I want a Venus Masterwork ASAP!

Totally agree! The Fear scenes were terrific and the idiosyncratic art in the transformation to vampire scene VENUS has been SHAMEFULLY IGNORED!
