Number 301

Lay off my roof, goof!

Here's a funny Wolverton strip from Daredevil Comics #22, February 1944. Can it really be that I haven't posted a Basil Wolverton strip since Pappy's #3? To rectify the situation, Jason, here's a hip strip to make you flip!

What a laugh riot!

Wolverton's panels just hold your eyes attention right to the very end. He's one of the most distinctive comics artists ever.

Nice post, Pappy.

And not only is the art incredible here but so is THE WRITING!! I'd love to see someone today try to write a single panels worth of clever dialog like this. If you read it fast it has perfect timing and an awesome beat.

This one's a real squeal! It put me in a manic panic, and I had to call my mechanic! It's the post with the most, and Pappy makes it snappy with stuff that's not crappy to make us all happy! Now get off my lap, sap!

Thanks, Pappy, now I'll be doing this all day. I'll be lucky if I keep my job! ;)

Thanks Vicar, I now stand unprotected and most definitely corrected.
