Chuck, I wonder if Maneely wouldn't have been the go-to guy for Iron Man or other non-Kirby originated features. Maybe he would have inked Kirby on the early X-Men instead of Paul Reinman. (I only mention that because I was looking at those issues this morning.)
Who knows? The speculation can be endless, but I'm sure that whatever he had done he would have been great. Too bad we'll never know unless we can step into that alternate universe where Maneely did not get killed by a train, but went on to live a long life and draw many, many more comics!

Maneely was and remains one of the best Atlas artists.
I often wonder what title he would have worked on during the 1960's as Marvel emerged from Atlas?

Well, he was at least spared the pain of having his huge contribution marginalized for decades by his friend, like someone else there did.
Maneely was SOLID!
